Art and Culture Foundation

The art and culture foundation, a team of professionals with proven track record was established in 1980 , with the aim of serving people in every possible way through the medium of Art and Culture. It has concentrated it’s work in area of Fine Arts with emphasis on promotion of our traditional culture. It has become an organization of repute with multifarious activities in the field of Art and Culture . Goswami Sushil Maharaj is the real inspiration for the formation of this foundation.

  • Main objectives of Art and Culture Foundation :
  • To establish dramatic arts to encourage all amateur artist.
  • Organize social, culture and educational programs, lectures, debates, symposiums, discussions, music, dance and drama festivals .
  • To publish magazines or the literature of different subjects offering every opportunity for developing literary expressions, art skills etc .
  • Arranging exhibitions of Fine Arts, Photography, Stamps, etc.
  • Development of sporting spirits amongst all human beings .
  • To establish training centers for Dance, Drama, Music, Make Up, Stage Lighting, Mask, Head Gear, Ornaments and Set designing.

The foundation presents an Annual Award known as “Rajiv Smriti Puraskar” The award is presented to an eminent person selected by the eminent members in it’s panel for their meaningful contribution to international brotherhood, strengthening of democratic forces and promotion of Art and Culture. So far the awardees are Shri C.P Prabhakar, renowned writer and scholar Padam Shri Smt Shovana Narayan, famous Kathak dancer. Shri O.P Jora, famous photographer. Shri Vishwanath Dixit, famous Producer and Director . Hon’ble Aung San Sue Kyi of Burma, a symbol of Peace, courage and democracy , the award was accepted by Dr Tint Sue on behalf of Aung San Sue Kyi. Shri Abhimanyu Unnath, of Mauritius internationally renowned writer and scholar. Ustad Salamat Ali Khan of Pakistan, an exponent of Drupad and Khayal Gayaki of Shayam Chaurasi Gharana.

On occasion of Golden Jubilee of late Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s Birthday , the foundation instituted another award given to five distinguished personalities or institutions who have actively involved themselves for the promotion of Art, Culture and Literature . So far the awardees are Shri Ganesh Dass Khatri-freedom fighter, Dr. Kiran Bedi, IPS, Dr. T.S.R Rao, director- Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun, Shri Surendra Mathur, Secretary -Sahitya Kala Parishad, Dr Narinder Sarin , Deputy director of education, Delhi, Late Shri Prakash Sathi, National poet and writer, Shri D.N Sharma scholar, Shri Barun Kumar Gupta, Music Director, Shri Harish Rawat, Kathak Artist, Shri K.S Pawar, Fine artist . Goswami Ramnath – Singer, Shri Alok Nath Dixit – Producer T.V. serials, Shri Shahenshah Talwar – Cultural Activitist, Shri Puran Rawat- Light Designer, Ms Ronica Jacob – Western Danseuse.

On May 14, 1998, the Foundation honored Dr Vishwanath Dixit of Guruji Films by a special Award ‘Indira Priydarshani Rashtriya Puraskar 1998’ for producing ‘Best Women’ oriented T.V. Serial ‘Aprajitha’ for telecast on national network of Doordarshan .

The Foundation has presented cultural items in the Republic Day Parade for more than a decade. The Foundation has presented the following Ballets: Panchavati- Prithvi Raj Chauhan – Avijit Karan-kaling vijay, Dronacharya- Jhelum ke us paar – Ramlila – Nahush Patan – Desh Jaag Utha – Sikandar Pauras – Aradharathi – Mera Safar – Abhisandhita. The foundation was the 1st Organization in the country to respond to the call of Dr Kiran Bedi – IPS (EX.IG of central jail, Tihar) to start cultural activities for the prisoners in 1993.

The Art and Culture Foundation, the 1st group of 100 artists, have staged various historical and mythological dramas in an innovative Hi- tech technique of light and sound. The programs use special effects to evoke the interest in audience. The story is presented with the help of Scintillating lights and sound effects with Multi Stage presentation incorporating huge sets against a natural back drop. In order to make our ballets exceptional, we experiment with blending of theatre, dance, lights shadows and technical wizardry. So that our ballets are more captivating, we present them with colorful costumes, head gears, ornaments and make up.

Our ballets are non-stop with one scene leading into the next. This un-interrupted change over with excellent blending of dialogues, songs and couplets on the musical score, specially prepared for the purpose of making it more interesting. A few of our light and sound programs presented by the foundation are Bi-Centenary History of Jat Regiment, Shraddhanjali, Kaling Vijay, Vijeta Kaun, Jagriti, Maati Mang Rahi Balidaan, Mehfil E Ishq (Bikaner) Hindon Ki Raftaar (Organized by Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority), Kahani Scouting Ki (Organized by Northern Railways and Scout Guides) and Sampoorna Ramayan (Delhi and Jodhpur). The foundation is currently working on several projects, i.e. Navdurga, Saibaba, Baba Ramdev, Maharan Pratap, Krishna etc. The ministry of railway has invited us to install permanent light and sound show at the National Railway Museum, New Delhi. Also His Highness Maharaj Gaj Singh of Jodhpur has invited us to install permanent light and sound show at Mehrangarh Fort Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

A few of our cultural activities and fashion shows have been highly acclaimed by the media. Some of them are Asiad 1982, Bhartiyam, Freedom Struggle of India, New Delhi, Nona Fashion Show, 1994. Lure and luster Fashion show 1995, Tanya Creations Fashion Show 1996, Bahar E Milan Star Nite 1996, Golden Jubilee Year Celebration of Burma Independence 1998, Mehfil E Ishq, Jugalbandi by Ustad Salamat Ali Khan and Ustad Shafqat Ali Khan of Pakistan 1998, Magic Show of Shri Ashok Bhandari 2001-2002 Rajasthan, Valentine Day Celebration 2003. We always present our programmes in the finest auditoriums of Delhi. No wonder that our programs are highly acclaimed by the media and appreciated by the public. The foundation has been conducting artist workshop, music and dance competitions. The H.R.D. Ministry has encouraged by frequently giving grants to the foundations.

The foundations receives request from all over the world to bring its entire team to teach, train and impart skills to the natives. This is an extra ordinary achievement, as only an exceptional organization receives invitations to bring its entire Technical Team. The foundation feels very privileged and honored.

The Foundation is going to start a training institution founded by JMV Art and Culture Foundation Trust, at Greater Noida to impart training in fine arts and technology to worthy candidates. The foundation has already applied for the 2000 sq meters. plot to the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority. The Institution will have hostel facilities for students coming from foreign country. It will also cater for the local talented under privileged amateur boys and girls. We also request and welcome like minded to join the foundation to serve the world of Art and Culture
